Description
These teriyaki steak bites are a simple and flavorful option for when you’re craving takeout. This recipe is paleo, whole30, and AIP.
Ingredients

- 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced into cubes
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (omit for AIP)
- 1/2 cup coconut aminos
- Juice of half a lime (about 1 tbsp)
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar (omit for whole30)
- 1 1/2 tsp arrowroot starch
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp sesame seeds (omit for AIP)
- 1 tbsp green onion, chopped
Instructions
- Remove the steak from the fridge and season well with salt and pepper. Allow to sit on the counter for 8-10 minutes.
- While the steak sits, combine the coconut aminos, lime juice, coconut sugar, and arrowroot starch. Whisk well and set aside.
- Add the avocado oil to a large pan and set to medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned. Set aside.
- Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and cook for 2 minutes or until fragrant.
- Pour in the coconut aminos mixture and stir. Allow to thicken for 2-3 minutes. Add the steak bites back in and stir to coat until the steak reaches it’s desired doneness.
- Serve topped with sesame seeds and green onion with a side of your choice.
