Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak sliced into cubes
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper omit for AIP
  • ½ cup coconut aminos
  • Juice of half a lime about 1 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar omit for whole30
  • 1 ½ tsp arrowroot starch
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds omit for AIP
  • 1 tbsp green onion chopped

Instructions

  • Remove the steak from the fridge and season well with salt and pepper. Allow to sit on the counter for 8-10 minutes.
  • While the steak sits, combine the coconut aminos, lime juice, coconut sugar, and arrowroot starch. Whisk well and set aside.
  • Add the avocado oil to a large pan and set to medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned. Set aside.
  • Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and cook for 2 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Pour in the coconut aminos mixture and stir. Allow to thicken for 2-3 minutes. Add the steak bites back in and stir to coat until the steak reaches it's desired doneness.
  • Serve topped with sesame seeds and green onion with a side of your choice.
