How to Make Homemade Tigernut Butter

  • 3/4 cup tigernut flour
  • 1/3 cup + 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  1. Using a food processor, combine all of the ingredients until smooth, stopping to scrape the sides to fully incorporate.
  2. Add 1-2 tbsp more avocado oil if a creamier butter is desired, or more maple syrup if you’d prefer it to be sweeter.
  3. Store the tigernut butter in a glass container in the fridge for 7-10 days.
