Spooky Healthy Halloween Gummies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • ½ cup blackberries
  • 1 cup grape juice
  • 2 tsp black cocoa powder omit for AIP
  • ½ tsp activated charcoal optional, see notes
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ¼ cup gelatin powder

Instructions
 

  • Using a high-speed blender, blend the berries, grape juice, cocoa, charcoal, and honey until fully combined.
  • Pour the liquid into a medium saucepan and sprinkle over the gelatin. Allow it to sit for 1-2 minutes before transferring to the stovetop. Heat on medium heat for 2-3 minutes and whisk until the gelatin is dissolved.
  • Carefully pour the mixture into gummy molds of your choice (like this or this) and set in the fridge for 2-3 hours or until fully set.
  • Remove from the molds and enjoy! Keep chilled.

Notes

Activated charcoal is used as a natural food coloring in this recipe and though it's a very small amount, charcoal can bind to minerals and medications. Ask your doctor about consuming it.
