Dalgona Matcha (Whipped Matcha Latte)

Description

This dalgona matcha is an easy and delicious whipped matcha latte drink that you can make at home! It’s egg-free, dairy-free, paleo, and vegan-friendly.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 tbsp water, very hot/boiling
  • 1 tsp matcha powder (I use this)
  • 2 tsp coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup coconut cream (I use this)
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free milk (I prefer almond milk, sub coconut milk for AIP)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add the boiling water to a medium sized bowl. Sift the matcha over the water to break up any clumps in the matcha. Use a wooden matcha whisk or a handheld milk frother to carefully combine the matcha and water. A thin, green paste should form.
  2. Add the coconut sugar and cream to the matcha mixture. Use a whisk to whisk by hand or and electric whisk to combine until the coconut cream reaches a thick and creamy texture. Set aside.
  3. Add the ice and milk to a glass (it should be a little over 2/3rds of the way full). Spoon the whipped matcha over the milk. Use a spoon or straw to lightly stir to combine the two when ready to drink.
