Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the chicken wings totally dry and add to a bowl. Top with the dry seasonings and baking powder and toss to coat.
Add the chicken wings to the baking sheet and evenly space. Top with avocado oil and transfer to the oven. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through until the wings are crisp.
About 10 minutes before the wings come out of the oven, add the ingredients for the sauce into a pot and stir well. Simmer on medium-low for 4-5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat
Add the cooked chicken wings to a clean bowl and pour the sauce over. Toss to coat.
Serve the wings topped with green onion.
