Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

Ingredients

For the wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tsp baking powder I use this
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper omit pepper for AIP
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • Green onion to serve

For the sauce

  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper omit pepper for AIP

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pat the chicken wings totally dry and add to a bowl. Top with the dry seasonings and baking powder and toss to coat.
  • Add the chicken wings to the baking sheet and evenly space. Top with avocado oil and transfer to the oven. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through until the wings are crisp.
  • About 10 minutes before the wings come out of the oven, add the ingredients for the sauce into a pot and stir well. Simmer on medium-low for 4-5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat
  • Add the cooked chicken wings to a clean bowl and pour the sauce over. Toss to coat.
  • Serve the wings topped with green onion.
