Ingredients

Instructions

  • Wash the apples well and trim the stems. Pierce the top of the apple with a small skewer or a popsicle stick. Set aside on a plate lined with parchment paper.
  • Add the chocolate chips to a glass bowl with the coconut oil and set it aside. Prepare a double boiler by bringing a small pot of water (filled about two-thirds of the way) to a low boil. Add the bowl over the top of the pot and stir continuously until melted. Once melted, carefully remove.
  • Stir in the black cocoa and charcoal and combine.
  • Take an apple and roll it in the melted chocolate, until coated. Hold the apple over the bowl and let the excess chocolate drip off before transferring to the parchment-lined plate. Repeat with all of the apples and place in the fridge to harden for 2 hours.
  • Serve once hardened or store in the fridge for a day or so.

Notes
