Chocolate fruit dip {dairy free}

Description

This chocolate fruit dip is the perfect healthy snack or dessert! It’s sweetened with dates and made without any dairy or avocado.


Ingredients

  • 5 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 3/4 cup full fat canned coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut yogurt
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder (see notes for AIP)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. If the dates are hard, soak them in warm water for 5 minutes to soften. Drain the water and pat dry.
  2. Add the coconut milk, yogurt, dates, almond butter, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extra to a blender. Blend for 30 seconds or more, until totally smooth.
  3. Top with shaved chocolate if desired and serve with fruit like bananas, apples, and berries!

Notes

How to make this recipe AIP

  • Omit the almond butter and add more yogurt or use tigernut butter instead.
  • Use carob powder instead of cocoa powder
