If the dates are hard, soak them in warm water for 5 minutes to soften. Drain the water and pat dry.
Add the coconut milk, yogurt, dates, almond butter, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extra to a blender. Blend for 30 seconds or more, until totally smooth.
Top with shaved chocolate if desired and serve with fruit like bananas, apples, and berries!
