Chocolate fruit dip {dairy free}

This chocolate fruit dip is the perfect healthy snack or dessert! It's sweetened with dates and made without any dairy or avocado.

Ingredients

  • 5 Medjool dates pitted
  • ¾ cup full fat canned coconut milk
  • ¼ cup coconut yogurt
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • cup cocoa powder see notes for AIP
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • If the dates are hard, soak them in warm water for 5 minutes to soften. Drain the water and pat dry.
  • Add the coconut milk, yogurt, dates, almond butter, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extra to a blender. Blend for 30 seconds or more, until totally smooth.
  • Top with shaved chocolate if desired and serve with fruit like bananas, apples, and berries!

Notes

How to make this recipe AIP

  • Omit the almond butter and add more yogurt or use tigernut butter instead.
  • Use carob powder instead of cocoa powder
