Healthy snacks can be hard to come by when you’re gluten and dairy-free. I love fresh fruit, but if you’re wanting something a little decadent then this fruit dip is the best of both words. Fresh fruit plus a creamy, chocolatey dip… heavenly!

Why you’ll love this recipe

  • It’s easy to make! It’s a no-cook recipe that you can easily make in a blender.
  • It’s made with healthy fats and natural sugar. No refined sugar, dairy or weird oils.
  • It’s a great way to enjoy fresh fruit. My toddler and I had so much fun eating this recipe.

  • Vanilla Extract.

Tips & tricks

  • Use fresh dates with the pit. Fresh dates are always the juiciest as opposed to dates without the pit! If you’re using refrigerated dates, make sure you soak them for 5 minutes beforehand in water.
  • Use a high-speed blender. You’ll definitely need a blender for this recipe.

Storage instructions

Store it in glass for 2-3 days. It will harden in the fridge, so be sure to let it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes to soften.

How to make this recipe AIP

  • Omit the almond butter or use tigernut butter instead.
  • Use carob powder instead of cocoa powder

Can you make this recipe coconut free?

Coconut is best to make this recipe creamier, but you can try to use another dairy-free milk like oat milk or almond milk instead of coconut milk and cashew or almond milk yogurt instead of coconut yogurt.

What fruit to enjoy with the fruit dip?

  • Grapes
  • Bananas
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Apples
  • etc!
