Description
This gluten-free Texas Toast is a crunchy and delicious side dish to eat with a hearty meal! It’s made with gluten-free sourdough and ghee.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 tbsp ghee
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 1 loaf gluten-free bread (I use this GF sourdough bread)
Instructions
- Using a small bowl, combine the ghee, garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley until well combined. Set aside.
- Slice the bread into thick slices about 1.5″-2″ thick. Spread a generous amount of the ghee mixture onto each side of the toast. Repeat for all slices.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add about 2-3 slices of toast at a time, being careful not to crowd the pan. Fry on each side for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is crispy. Repeat for all of the bread.
- Serve fresh as a side to a meal.
