Add the sliced fruit, cinnamon sticks, cloves and maple syrup to the instant pot.
Start adding about 2 cups of water at a time, and fill until the fruit is covered (this will take about 6-8 cups of water). Be mindful to not pass the max fill line. Stir the mixture to combine.
Place the lid on the instant pot, and set the valve to seal. Set the instant pot to manual, high pressure, and set the time for 15 minutes.
Allow the instant pot to come to pressure and cook. Once the timer is up, turn off the instant pot and allow the pressure to release naturally (this will take 15-20 minutes).
After the pressure releases, remove the lid and allow to cool slightly before carefully using a potato masher to mash the apples and oranges well for 4-5 minutes.
Set a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl and strain the solid fruit pieces out of the cider.
Serve the cider warm with extra cinnamon sticks for garnish if desired.
