Equipment

Ingredients

For the cherry grape slushie

  • 2 cups whole frozen cherries pits and stems removed
  • 1 cup ice crushed
  • ½ cup grape juice
  • ½ cup water see notes
  • 1 tbsp honey optional

For the mango orange slushie

  • 2 cup frozen mango cubed
  • 1 cup ice crushed
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup water see notes
  • 1 tbsp honey optional

Instructions

  • Add the fruit, ice, juice, water and honey (if using) to a high speed blender. Blend on high until smooth, for about 8-10 seconds. You want the slushie to be liquid, but still have the icey mouth feel, so I suggest trying a spoonful at the 8-10 second mark, and blending further to your desired texture if needed.
  • Use a spoon to spoon the slushie into a glass. Serve with a thick straw!

Notes

  • Don't over-blend! Blending the slushie for too long will eventually turn it into more of a smoothie texture. Lean towards the side of blending less, and then just blend more as needed.
  • Add more liquid if needed. If your blender is a bit on the weaker side, it may need an extra splash of liquid to blend easier.
  • Cut the fruit juice with water or sparkling water for less sugar. If you want it to cut down the sugar a bit, you can use less juice and water instead.
