Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats
Please ask a vet if you have any concerns about feeding your dog any people food.
These homemade peanut butter dog treats are the perfect snack for your dog. They’re gluten-free and clean enough for humans too!
After making homemade cat treats, I got tons of requests to make homemade dog treats! Though I don’t have a dog myself right now, my parents have two who helped me test these crunchy little biscuits. They’re made with oats, peanut butter, and pumpkin… what’s a dog not to like?
I love dogs and have had so many dogs growing up! Seriously I can’t believe we don’t have a dog right now. The main reason is that our cat hates dogs. I’m sure they’d work it out, so one day! In the meantime, I’m excited to live vicariously through all of you who have dogs and can give them these treats!
It’s worth mentioning that these are treats and it’s important not to overdo treats for dogs! I’m not a vet, so if your dog has any health concerns, ask them before trying.
How to make the homemade dog treats

- Pour the oat flour into a bowl and combine with the collagen and baking soda.

- Form the batter into small biscuits, or use a cookie cutter to form into shapes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until crispy.
- Store in the fridge and serve in moderation.
The Ingredients in these homemade dog treats
Old-fashioned oats
This recipe uses homemade oat flour to keep these treats gluten-free. Oats are dog safe.
Collagen
Collagen is a great option to help support joint health for your dog!
Peanut butter
I’ve done some research about almond butter as an alternative and have read that it’s not best for dogs. So though I don’t eat peanut butter myself, it is dog safe in moderation. Be sure to use a high-quality one without additives!
Pumpkin
Pumpkin is a dog (and cat) safe!
