These frozen yogurt and chocolate-covered blueberries are an easy and healthy homemade snack! They’re refined sugar-free, paleo, vegan, and can be made AIP.

Frozen Yogurt and Chocolate Covered Blueberries

In my personal opinion, snacks are life; a day without snacks is just a sad day in my book. 😆 Healthy snack options can be tricky to find so I like to have things I can easily whip together on my own at home.

These frozen yogurt and chocolate-covered blueberries are a fun healthier alternative to the traditional sugar and preservative-filled varieties. These are made with coconut yogurt and your favorite dairy-free chocolate chips and are easy to make to keep on hand in the freezer. They’re loosely inspired by the brand Tru Fru which makes frozen fruit covered in two layers of white chocolate & milk chocolate.

The Ingredients for Frozen Yogurt and Chocolate Covered Blueberries

  • Blueberries. You could use fresh or frozen blueberries for this.
  • Coconut yogurt. I like to use the brand Culina!
  • Dairy-free chocolate chips. The Enjoy Life brand is my personal favorite.
  • Coconut oil. You’ll use this to help melt the chocolate chips.

How to Make Frozen Yogurt and Chocolate Covered Blueberries

  • Dip the blueberries in yogurt. Using a long toothpick, pierce a blueberry and dip it into the yogurt and turn until it’s coated. Use a small spoon to remove any excess yogurt if needed.

  • Freeze. Place the blueberry on the parchment paper. Repeat for all blueberries and evenly space on the parchment paper. Transfer to the freezer and allow to harden for at least an hour.

  • Melt the chocolate. Right before the blueberries are done freezing, melt the chocolate and coconut oil together with a method of your choice (I prefer a double boiler method). Melt until fully liquid and allow to cool slightly.

  • Coat in chocolate and freeze. Repeat the process of dipping the blueberries into the chocolate with a toothpick, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Transfer the blueberries back to the parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze.

How long can you keep these in the freezer?

They won’t last long just because they’re so good! But they should stay fresh for about a month or so!

Can you store these outside the freezer?

These definitely need to stay frozen to stay together, so you’ll want to keep them frozen and only remove them for a few minutes or so before eating them.

Can you make these with a different fruit other than blueberries?

This recipe would work great with raspberries or strawberries too! You just may need more yogurt or chocolate depending on how many berries you use.

  • 5 oz fresh blueberries
  • 5 oz coconut yogurt (I use the brand, Culina)

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  1. Prepare a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Using a long toothpick, pierce a blueberry and dip into the yogurt, and turn until it’s coated. Use a small spoon to remove any excess yogurt if needed.
  3. Place the blueberry on the parchment paper. Repeat for all blueberries and evenly space on the parchment paper. Transfer to the freezer and allow to harden for at least an hour.
  4. Right before the blueberries are done freezing, melt the chocolate and coconut oil together with a method of your choice (I prefer a double boiler method) . Melt until fully liquid and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Repeat the process of dipping the blueberries into the chocolate with a toothpick, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Transfer the blueberries back to the parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to harden in the freezer for another hour.
  6. Once hardened, enjoy as a snack or transfer to a bag to store in the freezer.
