Creamy Caramel Apple Dip

Who doesn’t love a sweet and creamy dip to pair with crisp apple slices?! They are perfect to share at a gathering or make for a snack.

This creamy caramel apple dip is made with coconut cream, coconut sugar, maple syrup, coconut yogurt and creamy almond or cashew butter for an easy and delicious fall dip! It’s dairy-free, paleo and can be made AIP-friendly.

The Ingredients for the Creamy Caramel Apple Dip

  • Coconut cream. You can either use the cream that hardens on the top of a can of coconut milk when left in the fridge overnight or Arroy-D coconut cream which is my personal favorite!
  • Coconut sugar and maple syrup. To sweetened it!
  • Coconut yogurt. I like this brand!
  • Creamy almond or cashew butter.  You can sub tigernut butter for a AIP/nut-free version.
  • Vanilla extract. I always use an alcohol-free version.
  • Cinnamon and salt. The main spices!

How to make Creamy Caramel Apple Dip

  • Combine to make the caramel. Mix the coconut cream, coconut sugar, and salt in a saucepan. After bringing the mixture to a low boil, reduce to a low simmer, stirring until reduced and the caramel is formed.
  • Mix. Stir the coconut yogurt, nut butter, coconut cream, maple syrup, and vanilla extract well to combine.
  • Top with caramel. Lightly stir to incorporate and top with cinnamon.
  • Serve fresh with sliced apples.

How do you make this recipe nut-free?

You can! Simply use tigernut butter instead of nut butter to make it nut-free. Tigernuts are a tuber, not a nut, but has the same nutty flavor as a nut butter!

Can you make this recipe ahead of time?

Though it’s best fresh, you can make it a few hours ahead of time as well.

Can you serve this with something other than apples?

Apples really make this a caramel apple dip, but you can also serve it with something like gluten-free cookies or graham crackers.
