These spooky gummies are the perfect healthier candy for Halloween! They’re made with berries, grape juice, gelatin, black cocoa, and honey.
Spooky Healthy Halloween Gummies
If you are looking for a fun, spooky treat for Halloween that is still healthy, you are in luck! These gummies can be molded into whatever shape you like best. I like pumpkins and gummy bears, but you could really choose any shape.
These aren’t your typical gummies either. They are paleo, refined sugar-free, and contain no food dyes.
The Ingredients for the Healthy Halloween Gummies
- Blueberries and Blackberries.
- Grape Juice.
- Black Cocoa Powder. I like this one. You can omit this to keep the recipe AIP.
- Activated Charcoal. This is optional, and you can read more about it in the notes.
- Honey.
- Gelatin Powder. I use this one.
The Gummy Molds
You can use any mold that you’d like but these are two that I like!
- Pumpkin Molds. This isn’t the exact mold that I used as I bought mine years ago, but it’s similar!
- Gummy Bear Molds.
How to make Spooky Healthy Halloween Gummies
- Blend the ingredients (minus gelatin). Using a high-speed blender, blend the berries, grape juice, cocoa, charcoal, and honey until fully combined.
- Add the gelatin. Pour the liquid into a medium saucepan and sprinkle over the gelatin. Allow it to sit for 1-2 minutes before transferring to the stovetop. Heat on medium heat for 2-3 minutes and whisk until the gelatin is dissolved.
- Pour into gummy molds. Carefully pour the mixture into gummy molds of your choice (like this or this) and set in the fridge for 2-3 hours or until fully set.
- Remove from the molds and enjoy! Keep chilled.
A note about the activated charcoal…
The activated charcoal in this recipe is used along with the black cocoa for color to make these darker. Without it, the gummies would be more blue/purple. Though it’s a small amount of charcoal, charcoal binds to minerals and some medications in the body, so you definitely want to ask your doctor if you’re concerned. Either way, it can be left out, it will just change the color!
Can you leave out the black cocoa?
Similar to the activated charcoal, yes, you can leave out the black cocoa. It will just change the color of the gummies to be more blue/purple.
Can you use frozen berries instead of fresh ones?
You can! Just make sure they’re melted before blending and be mindful of any extra liquid.
How long do these gummies stay fresh?
You can easily keep them chilled in the fridge for 4-5 days!

Hi- could I make these using agar agar powder?
I actually haven’t used agar agar a lot so I’m not sure if it would swap 1:1!
