This 2 ingredient mango sorbet in the ninja creami is the best sorbet you’re ever going to try! It’s thick, creamy, and so simple to make.

Last year, I bought my Ninja Creami after seeing it go viral online! I saw so many recipe for mixed ice cream, protein ice cream, milkshakes, and more, and I wanted to join in on the fun. It took a lot of time to figure out the perfect ratios for dairy free ice cream, but I quickly found lucky with this mango sorbet. I’ve been sharing snippets of it on Instagram, and I’m excited to finally get it all in writing here on the blog!

What is the Ninja Creami?

The Ninja Creami is a small home appliance that makes ice cream, sorbet, and milkshakes! It even has a setting for mix-ins so you can add your favorite flavors.

In my experience, the Ninja Creami has been a lot easier to use than a traditional ice cream maker and a lot more versatile. You can make single pints with a myriad of different ingredients, freeze them for 24 hours, spin, and enjoy.

Why You’ll Love This 2-Ingredient Ninja Creami Mango Sorbet

  • 2 ingredients! What could be easier than a 2 ingredient treat?!
  • Refreshing sorbet! A great summer treat on a hot night made from real food ingredients.

The Ingredients for 2-Ingredient Ninja Creami Mango Sorbet

  • Ataulfo Mango. After testing this several times, I’ve found this is the key to making it perfectly creamy! Pre-frozen mango will still work, but using fresh mango and then freezing it ensures that you’re getting a really fresh and juicy mango for the perfect sorbet.
  • Orange juice. Any orange juice will work!

How to make 2-Ingredient Ninja Creami Mango Sorbet

  • Step One. Add the cubed mango and orange juice and freeze.
  • Step Two. Place the frozen cup in the outer bowl and then spin on sorbet setting.
  • Step Three. Make a well in the center of the creami and add orange juice and put on respin settings. Repeat until the sorbet is creamy.
  • Step Four. Serve fresh and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

  • Respin, and respin some more! This is the beauty of the ninja creami! You can spin until you get the perfect texture that you like! I find that one full spin and then 3 respins is the sweet spot for that perfect texture, but you can play with it until you get your desired results.
  • Make sure the creami freezes flat and not above the fill line. You’ll see this warning a lot with this appliance because if the mixture freezes at an angle, it can damage the blade. You want everything flat and not above the fill line!
  • Add some toppings. Shaved chocolate tastes amazing on top of this sorbet.

Can you use frozen mango instead?

You technically can, but I find that using fresh yields better results. Make sure you pick a couple of mangoes that are ripe for a perfectly creamy sorbet!

Can you make this recipe without the creami?

This particular recipe is measured out with this the Ninja Creami in mind, but you can also make this mango sorbet without one!

2-Ingredient Ninja Creami Mango Sorbet

  • Author: Michelle
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 heaping cups ataulfo mango, cubed (just enough to get below the fill line)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (plus 2 tbsp extra for later)

Instructions

  1. Add the cubed mango to the ninja creami container. You’ll want to fill it a little bit below the fill line. Add the orange juice to reach just below the fill line. Make sure you do not pass the fill line. Place the lid on the container and freeze for 24 hours.
  2. Once fully frozen, ensure that the mango mixture is flat and not off-center, as this will damage the blade. Place the frozen cup inside the outer bowl and lock the lid on top. Spin on the sorbet setting once.
  3. Remove the lid and make a well in the center of the creami. Add a splash of orange juice and spin again on the respin setting. You’ll spin 2-3 times total, adding a splash of orange juice as needed until the sorbet is creamy to your liking!
  4. Serve fresh by scooping into a bowl. If you have leftovers, level off the top and freeze again. Respin when you’re ready to enjoy the rest!
