Power Berry Smoothie
This post is a paid partnership with Naked Nutrition. All opinions are my own.
This berry smoothie is a nutrition powerhouse that’s perfect for getting your day started on the right foot! It’s made with frozen berries, greens, healthy fats, and bone broth powder.
Living in Dallas, TX, I’m often drinking smoothies to cool off! Not only do they keep you cool, but it’s easy to pack lots of nutrients into a smoothie, similar to how you would a soup in the winter. This smoothie has been on repeat in my house, and I’m excited to have recently added Bone Broth protein to it as well!
The Ingredients for the Berry Power Smoothie
- Frozen berries. I use a mixture of strawberries and blueberries, but any berries work.
- Arugula or spinach. I’m partial to arugula, but kale or spinach will also work.
- Dairy-free milk and water. I like to use almond milk, but coconut milk works too. You can also use just water if desired.
- Olive oil. This sounds random, but trust me! Whenever I add more olive oil to my diet, I always see a positive difference in my satiety and the glow of my hair and skin. If olive oil isn’t for you, you can also do coconut butter or avocado.
- Bone broth protein. This adds a big protein and nutrient boost to your smoothie!
Why I love bone broth protein
I had been looking for a new protein option for my smoothies, and am excited to collaborate with Naked Nutrition and add their Bone Broth Protein to my rotation! It’s made with high-quality beef bones, that are processed in a way to maintain the nutrients into an easy powder form. Here are just a few reasons why I love it…
- It’s protein-rich. With 20 g of protein per serving, it helps to keep you full longer and support muscle growth.
- It’s a dairy-free alternative to whey protein. I love adding extra protein to my smoothies, but it can be really hard to do that if you don’t eat dairy. Whey protein is typically the default, but bone broth protein changes that! It’s still protein-rich, but it’s made without dairy.
- It’s an easy way to fit in the benefits of bone broth. Bone broth is a nutrient powerhouse, but it can be a little time-consuming to make at times. Plus, during the summer, soup doesn’t always sound good. Having it in powder form is an easy option, and perfect for warmers weather.
- It’s easy to use. Since it’s in powder form, it’s easy to add to lots of different foods. I’m always having smoothies in the summer, so that’s the default option for me, but you can also add it to things like energy bites, soups, baked goods, etc!
How to make this Smoothie
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Add more liquid if a thinner smoothie is desired.
- Pour into a large glass and drink while cold.
Can you make this smoothie ahead of time?
This smoothie is definitely best fresh! The best way to prep ahead of time is to freeze the berries in portions to take out a step of measuring.
Should you add crushed ice to the smoothie?
I find that adding frozen fruit to the smoothie is more than enough to keep it cold, and keep it from watering down.

Is bone broth protein AIP complaint? Thanks!
Yes, I think so!
I am curious about this recipe. Can you taste the bone broth powder in it or is it disguised enough either the other ingredients?
I personally don’t really taste! It’s similar to just having a protein powder in your smoothie.
