These fruit on the bottom yogurt jars are a homemade version of a classic that is made without any refined sugar or dairy. They’re the perfect healthy snack or breakfast on the go!
The Ingredients for the Yogurt Jars
- Plant-based yogurt. I use coconut yogurt, but if you tolerate other varieties of yogurt, use what you prefer! You can also use homemade yogurt.
- Slivered almonds, honey, and cinnamon. This is used to make the honey roasted almonds.
- Mixed berries, honey, and chia seeds. This is to make the fruit on the bottom. You can also use only strawberries or only blueberries if you’d prefer.
How to make the honey roasted almonds
- Add the almonds to a bowl along with the coconut oil, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Toss to thoroughly coat.
- Add the almonds to the baking sheet, making sure that they’re not touching or overlapping. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes (tossing halfway through) or until lightly toasted.
How to make the fruit on the bottom yogurt
- Using a small saucepan, combine the berries, water, chia seeds, and honey. Stir to combine and place over medium-low heat.
- Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer, and stir frequently until the mixture is thick and reduced.
What yogurt should you use?
My favorite yogurt is Culina coconut yogurt, but you can use any plain yogurt of your choice!

How long can you keep this recipe in the fridge? How do you store it?
This recipe stays fresh for 1-3 days in the fridge. I highly recommend storing the almond separately until the day of to keep everything fresh.
What jars do you use to store these?
I love using weck jars, but you can easily use a mason jar or glass Tupperware!
