The Easiest 3 Ingredient Banana Pancakes (Gluten free, Perfect for Kids & Babies)
These 3 ingredient banana pancakes are so easy to make! They’re paleo, gluten-free, and perfect for kids, babies, and adults alike.
3 Ingredient Banana Pancakes
When my son started solids around 6 months, I was both excited and nervous to have a new person in my house that would be joining us in eating real meals. Mostly, my son eats what we eat (with modifications to make things easier and safer for him to eat), but I definitely have fun making him special meals too.
These 3 ingredient banana pancakes are my take on the popular eggy pancakes that many caretakers make their kids! They’re perfect for kids, babies, and adults as they’re totally gluten and dairy-free and incredibly easy to make.
The Ingredients for the 3 Ingredient Banana Pancakes
- Ripe mashed banana
- Eggs
- Almond flour. This helps to bind the pancakes and make them fluffier like actual pancakes! You can use other flours like gluten-free all-purpose flour or coconut flour.
- Ground flax seeds or hemp hearts. These are optional nutrient boosters for the pancakes.
- Cinnamon. Optional, but adds some more flavor!
How to make 3 Ingredient Banana Pancakes
- Make the batter: Add the bananas to a mixing bowl and mash well until fully mashed and no large pieces remain. Add the eggs to the bowl and whisk with the eggs. Add the almond flour (and other optional ingredients) and stir until a batter forms.
- Cook the pancakes: Using a large skillet, grease well with the cooking oil of your choice, and heat over medium-low heat. Use a ladle to spoon in about 3 small pancakes at a time. Allow to cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the edges begin to brown. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until cooked through.
- Serve with a side of fruit!
Can you make these pancakes egg-free?
The eggs are a pretty important part of the pancakes, and I haven’t been able to make these pancakes without them.
What do you serve these pancakes with?
My son loves to have these with coconut yogurt, or apple sauce! You can also serve them with a side of fruit or vegetables.
How long do these banana pancakes keep in the fridge?
They stay fresh in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Can you freeze banana pancakes?
Yes! I like to batch cook these and have them on hand in the freezer. Store them wrapped tightly for 1-2 months in the freezer.

Love how simple and yummy these are! Reminds me of beach resorts in Costa Rica where pancakes tastes like fruit and not just flour; have done it with VERY ripped bananas where texture is too wet but they turn great every single time. Love them, thank you!!!
yes, they are so delicious! So glad you enjoy the recipe!!
Would a flax or chia egg work for this recipe?
Just made this today. It was really good! Better than regular pancakes and it’s even healthier. My toddler and I enjoyed it.
YAY, so glad your family enjoyed it!

Hello! I’ve been going through some of your recipes and they look amazing. I’m just curious – why are some of your recipes marked AIP (like this one) but have eggs in them? Maybe I’m so new at this I don’t have the substitutes memorized yet?
That was a typo! Thanks for catching that!!
