Copycat Pink Drink (Paleo, Whole30, Healthier)

This copycat pink drink is the perfect healthier Starbucks dupe! It’s a healthier version of a favorite that’s also paleo, AIP, and can be made whole30.
Have you seen the Starbucks pink drink? They’re so cute that they’re basically an accessory! Plus, the flavor combination sounds pretty amazing. Acai, coconut milk, and strawberries? My interest has been piqued. And the best part? It’s really not hard to make it at home!
With a few simple ingredients that you can easily find, you can make one of the most fun drinks of spring and summer in your own kitchen. It’s refreshing, it’s yummy, and it’s simple to make.
The Ingredient’s for the Copycat Pink Drink
Acai Green Tea or Hibiscus Tea
This acai green tea is the base of the tea that really gives the flavor and the color. You can also use something like a passionfruit tea, hibiscus tea for AIP or other tea that has a strong color for AIP. You’ll want to brew a very strong tea for maximum flavor and color. You’ll wind up diluting it a lot with the coconut milk, but this is what gives the drink it’s signature pink color!
If you want a tea that’s not as strong, you can use one less tea bag, or divide the recipe between two glasses for a smaller drink.
Coconut milk
Finding coconut milk that doesn’t have added ingredients can be hard, but I recently discovered that Thrive Market’s coconut milk doesn’t have any added gums or sugars!
Strawberries
It’s my understanding that Starbucks uses freeze-dried strawberries, likely because it’s easier to store, the flavor is pretty strong and it still rehydrates when you add the liquid. You can for sure use freeze-dried strawberries, but I like to keep things fairly simple and use fresh strawberries in this recipe.
Sweetener of choice (omit for whole30)
I really like having just a touch of honey in the drink to add in some sweetener, but you don’t need to add it if you’re on a whole30.

Copycat Pink Drink (Paleo, AIP, Whole30, Healthier)
Ingredients
- ½ cup hot cup water
- 2 acai green tea bags for AIP hibiscus tea- see notes
- ⅓ cup ice
- ½ cup coconut milk
- 2 tsp honey omit for whole30
- ¼ cup strawberries sliced
Instructions
- Pour the hot water over the tea bags and allow to steep for 5-6 minutes. Squeeze the tea bags over the water to ensure the water is a vibrant color. Allow the water to come to room temperature.
- Add the ice to a tall cup (or two small cups) and pour the tea over the ice.
- Pour in the coconut milk, honey, and strawberry slices and mix well to combine.
- Serve immediately.
what can I use instead of coconut milk?
Hi there! You can try another milk alternative, like oat, almond, or soy milk!
Will almond milk and frozen strawberries work?

I would defrost the strawberries first 🙂 The almond milk should work, but it just has less flavor.
