Easy Vanilla Coffee Jelly {Dairy Free}
This coffee jelly is an easy and delicious treat drink with gelatin coffee cubes and a sweet vanilla dairy-free milk. It’s easy and fun to make at home!
What is coffee jelly?
There’s nothing like a fun little drink to brighten your day! I love getting a latte at a coffee shop, but the price really adds up.
I learned about coffee jelly and knew that I had to make it at home! Coffee jelly is popular in Japanese coffee shops and made from coffee cubes turned into almost a jello cube with gelatin or agar, and served with sweetened milk. It’s fun to eat with a spoon, and really easy to make at home!
The Ingredients for Coffee Jelly
- Strong Brewed Coffee. Instant coffee, cold brew, or just regular brewed coffee will all work.
- Gelatin. You can also make this with agar, just use 1/3rd less than you would use gelatin.
- Vanilla and Maple Syrup. This is the flavor I like to add to the coffee jelly, but you can mix it up as much as you’d like.
How to make coffee jelly
- Step One. Combine the coffee with maple syrup before sprinkling the gelatin over the coffee and allow it to harden.
- Step Two. Heat the mixture until fully liquid then remove and the add vanilla.
- Step Three. Carefully transfer into the mold and allow to set in the drudge
- Step Four. Remove from the molds and divide into two glasses.
- Step Five. Make the flavored milk and then pour over the jelly cubes and enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
- Add the jelly cubes to an iced latte. This recipe is more of a fun treat with the milk and jelly cubes, so if you’re looking for an actual coffee instead, simply add just a few of the jelly cubes to your normal iced latte for a fun twist to your latte!
- Switch up the flavors. You can add any flavor you’d like, such as cinnamon, lavender, etc!
