- If you like dipping, make some extra sauce. These wings are flavorful on their own, but if you like to dip your wings, make a little bit of extra sauce on the side.

They’re great as an appetizer or game-day food to serve with more of your football favs! If you want to serve them as a main dish, serve them with a side of roasted vegetables and rice or cauliflower rice.
What’s the secret to making chicken wings crispy in the oven?
Baking powder! Yes, baking powder on chicken actually works and is totally a thing. Lightly coating the chicken wings in baking powder before you bake them helps to make the skin crispy.
Is it better to add the sauce before or after baking chicken wings?
For this recipe, we add the sauce after baking! This allows the chicken to crisp up on its own before we add the sauce. Keep in mind that the chicken wings will now be sticky after adding the sauce rather than just crispy, but it’s the perfect combination of flavors and textures.

Amazing! I’ve always been afraid to make wings because they have to be crispy for me to eat them. These were a hit with my whole family! I left out the minced garlic in the sauce because my family is sensitive to the flavor and they were just sticky sweet delicious! I didn’t even simmer the sauce long enough, so it was pretty thin, but it was still worked fine to coat the wings. Definitely a keeper!
I made these for dinner tonight and the wings came out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! However, I tried to make the sauce but it ended up being liquid after 15-20mins. Did I do something wrong? Is there anything you recommend to thicken the sauce? Thank you!
You can always add some arrowroot starch!
Made these today for the Super Bowl and they are delicious! Even my 6 year old grandson approved.
So glad, thank you!!
