What can you serve with Chicken Souvlaki?

Typically, you would order this dish with something like roasted veggies, rice, tzatziki sauce, pita bread, or a side salad. Here are some ideas for what you can serve it with…

How to keep chicken skewers from sticking to the grill

The key to keeping chicken skewers from sticking is oiling the grill well and the chicken itself. This recipe is made with an oil-based marinade, but you still want to ensure you also oil the grill surface as well.

Another key to keeping chicken skewers from sticking is not turning them too early! Cooked meat will naturally release much more easily than meat that is still partially raw.

Can you bake chicken skewers in the oven?

Technically, you can! However, you’ll miss the grill marks and the distinct grilled flavor. You’ll want to cook chicken souvlaki at 400°F for 22-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Be sure to check the internal temperature before serving!

Can you pan fry or air fry chicken souvlaki?

Yes, you can do either!

If you choose to pan-fry, I recommend using a grill pan for grill marks.

If you choose to air-fry, I recommend starting at 400 F and cooking for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through. Be sure to check the internal temperature before serving!
