What is Snickers salad?

Snickers salad is not a “salad” by any means. It’s a midwestern dessert made with cream cheese, cool whip, chopped snickers bars and green apples, and topped off with caramel. Definitely delicious even if it’s not a salad!

This is a summer party classic that I wanted to recreate with dairy-free ingredients, and lightened up a bit! It’s made with no actual snickers, but will still taste like a snickers bar! This version is a dip, making it perfect to dip your apples in.

The ingredients for the Snickers salad dip

  • Dairy-Free Cream Cheese. I use this dairy-free cream cheese.
  • Whipped Coconut Cream. I used Coco Whip for a shortcut, but you can use homemade whipped coconut cream.
  • Almond Butter. This is used to create that nutty flavor that you get from snickers. You can use another nut or seed butter.
  • Dark Chocolate. This levels up the snickers vibe! I used this.
  • Dairy-Free Caramel. I use this.
  • Apples. I use granny smith apples for dipping.

Yes! It stores great in the fridge for a day or so if you want to make it the night before.

What else can you serve this dip with?

This dip is perfect with apples as that’s basically what’s in snickers salad. However, it’s also great for dipping with gluten-free graham crackers.
