This everything bagel chicken salad is a quick and easy lunch made with shredded chicken, dairy free cream cheese and yogurt, bagel seasoning, and veggies like radish and cucumber.

Chicken salad is always a classic staple for quick lunches. I love meal-prepping them over the weekend and grabbing it for a fast work day lunch. Your typical mayo chicken salad can get a little boring, so I love mixing up the flavors of textures in a chicken salad.

This bagel chicken salad is the perfect way to mix up a chicken salad! It’s still easy to throw together in less than 20 minutes, but this one is full of all of the flavors that you love from a bagel.

Why you’ll love this everything bagel chicken salad

  • Chicken salad makes great meal prep. This recipe is no different! You’ll love prepping this on a Sunday and having it for lunch during the week.
  • It’s quick to assemble. You’ll need less than 20 minutes from start to finish to prep this chicken salad.
  • It’s flavorful and filling. The recipe is full of healthy fats and protein, making it a great filling option for lunch.

The Ingredients

  • Dairy-Free Cream Cheese. I like to use this!
  • Coconut Yogurt. Culina is my favorite brand.
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning, Salt, and Pepper. These all add the classic everything bagel flavor to the chicken salad. Depending on which bagel seasoning you use, you may need to adjust salt and pepper.
  • Chives, Cucumber, and Radishes. These add great flavor, nutrients, and crunch!
  • Chicken. You want precooked chicken which you can prep yourself or buy pre cooked.

How to Make Everything Bagel Chicken Salad

  • Step One. Whip together the cream cheese, yogurt, seasoning, and chives.
  • Step Two. Combine chicken, cucumber, radishes, and cream cheese mixture and top with additional seasoning and chives.
  • Step Three. Serve as desired and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

  • Season to taste. Bagel seasonings tend to vary a lot in terms of sodium content, so taste as you go to get your desired salt levels, adding more or less as needed!
  • Add more veggies if desired. I prefer to serve this with pickled onion rather than fresh red onion, but fresh red onion will always go well with bagel seasoning, so feel free to add some to the actual chicken salad if desired!

Storage instructions

Store this chicken salad in a glass container for up to 3 days in the fridge. I personally wouldn’t recommend freezing it as ingredients like cucumber and radish don’t really freeze well.

Serving suggestions

This bagel chicken salad can be served so many different ways!

  • On a lettuce wrap
  • With a tortilla as a wrap
  • With crackers of your choice as a dip
  • On a gluten-free bagel… my new favorite brand is New Cascadia!

If you’re eating this as a sandwich, wrap, or on a bagel, I highly recommend serving it with pickled onions or another pickled vegetable! It really adds a nice flavor pop of acid to the dish.
