Buffalo chicken dip is a gameday staple, but have you ever had buffalo chicken egg rolls?! Of course, they’re nothing like traditional egg rolls. They’re a fun fusion recipe to serve as an appetizer or snack, and they taste amazing with a side of ranch. Serve them for game day, a party, or just a fun dinner recipe with a side of ranch and watch them disappear in a flash!

These buffalo chicken egg rolls are made with coconut wraps to make them gluten-free and a paleo buffalo chicken mixture that’s made with zero dairy.

The Ingredients for Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls

  • Shredded chicken. You can use cooked and shredded chicken breast, or rotisserie chicken.
  • Dairy-free yogurt. This is the substitute for cream cheese! I use Culina plain yogurt.
  • Buffalo sauce. Use this for a paleo option and this for an AIP option!
  • Coconut wraps. This keeps the recipe gluten-free!
  • Salt and Pepper.
  • Green Onion and Nutritional Yeast. These add to the egg roll filing and add more flavor!
  • Avocado Oil Spray. Spraying this over the egg rolls before cooking in the air fryer helps get the egg rolls crispy!
  • Ranch. I love to serve these egg rolls with ranch and you can use this for AIP.

How to make Paleo Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls

  • Make the egg roll filling. Season the shredded chicken with salt and pepper and combine with buffalo sauce, yogurt, green onion, and nutritional yeast. Stir until fully incorporated.

  • Fill and roll the egg rolls. Add a fourth of the filling to the center of each coconut wrap, being careful not to overfill. Roll the wrap by folding up the bottom edge about a third of the way, then folding in the two corners, and rolling the egg roll tightly. Add a dab of water to the edge of the egg roll to seal. Repeat with each of the 4 coconut wraps.

  • Cook in the air fryer. Transfer to the air fryer basket and spray with avocado oil. Set the air fryer to 270 F and cook for 4-5 minutes. Carefully remove from the air fryer and serve topped with green onion and with ranch on the side.

  • Use AIP buffalo sauce. Like this!
  • Use AIP ranch. Like this!

Can you make these egg rolls ahead of time? How do you reheat them?

These egg rolls are definitely best fresh. But if you have leftovers, you can reheat them for a minute or two in the air fryer.

Can you make this recipe in the oven?

Technically, you can! Set your oven to 350 F and bake for 12-15 minutes.

What do you serve with these egg rolls?

They’re perfect with a ranch dip on the side! If you tolerate blue cheese, they’d be great with blue cheese dressing as well.
