Healthy Orange Creamsicle Smoothie {without banana!}
This orange creamsicle smoothie is a creamy, delicious, and healthy alternative to an orange creamsicle! This version is made with hidden veggies on top of being dairy-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free.
What is an Orange Creamsicle?
The orange creamsicle is a liquid recreation of the popular frozen treat which combines vodka, orange juice or soda, and cream. This version is a healthy twist on this summer classic with fresh orange juice, coconut milk, coconut yogurt, and some hidden cauliflower for extra veggies and creaminess.
The Ingredients for a Healthy Orange Creamsicle Smoothie
- Cauliflower. This is a secret ingredient for making the smoothie creamy without banana, and adding hidden veggies! You’ll steam fresh cauliflower first, allow it to cool, and then freeze it. This makes cauliflower easier to digest than fresh cauliflower.
- Peaches. Peaches are lower in sugar than bananas and add a neutral flavor so the orange can shine.
- Yogurt. I like to use Culina brand coconut yogurt.
- Fresh orange juice and coconut milk. Coconut milk helps to make the smoothie a bit creamier. You can also use almond milk.
- Vanilla and honey. This adds some added sweetness and richness.
- Coconut whipped cream. You can buy versions of this or make it yourself.
How to Make a Healthy Orange Creamsicle Smoothie (without banana)
- Blend ingredients together. Using a large blender, combine the cauliflower, peaches, yogurt, orange juice, vanilla extract, and honey. Blend on high until fully blended and creamy.
- Pour into a tall glass and serve topped with whipped cream and orange zest.
Can you add protein to this orange creamsicle smoothie?
You can easily add vanilla protein or collagen!
Can you make this orange creamsicle smoothie without yogurt?
You can add more peaches instead of yogurt, though it will be less creamy.

Hi! The orange creamsicle smoothie looks so good! Could the cauliflower be subbed out for something else? Maybe frozen bananas? Thanks!
You can, it will just be sweeter!
Hello Michelle, any idea what would happen if I used already frozen organic riced cauliflower because I buy it in bulk at Costco. Can’t wait to try this, thank you!
